Completed Bridesmaid’s dresses.

Yes I did get them all done! Three adults and one 2 year old.

I finished sewing in one zip on the morning of the wedding only for it to promptly pop and the bridesmaid ended up getting hand sewn into her dress.
Here they are, the gorgeous girls of the moment. I hope they won’t mind too much me posting a photo of them, well I won’t tell them.

Due to time and the girls editing they ended up a lot more simple. I’m quite pleased as I didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable not being quite as theatrical as my good self.

Vintage Wedding Dress Exhibition.

I’ve been offline for a few days as this week has just been hectic.

To start off I decided to completely rearrange our flat/bedsit to incorporate my studio, it just got TOO cold in the garden and I had messed up our lounge with my work. It’s still not finished and we are living in piles of junk but it will be great.

Anyway, most of the week I have been working on a vintage wedding dresss exhibition and we finally finished it today.

Ironing 25 dresses and wrestling them onto mannequins has been surprisingly tiring but incredibly rewarding. We were lucky enough to be loaned some amazing dresses and veils, it’s been a pleasure working with them and meeting the people and hearing the stories as they bring them in.

We were filmed for the local TV station today so hopefully I’ll get a link up soon, it should go out tomorrow.

Bridesmaid designs.

I’ve taken a little time out to work on some Bridesmaids dresses for our wedding in June. I figure it’s all good for the portfolio.

They are all in deep purple taffetta with mint green accents.

I have posted the line drawings as my colouring has a lot to be desired :/

There are also the initial toiles I have made so the girls can see how they dresses might look.
