I tell ya, this has been a labour of love.
I don’t do shop bought patterns. But I couldn’t resist this funky looking bag from Amy Butler. Almost like a retro attache case.
So, I’ve been planning on making a bag for ages, with half a pony on the front and using the Pony duvet cover fabric I’ve been hoarding for years. (You only need so many My Little Pony duvet covers and I need 8 apparently).
When I saw the Amy Butler bag I knew it was the perfect style!
Here she is:

So, we have half of the lovely Cotton Candy adorning the front and a detachable pink brush zip pull to keep her looking gorgeous. As I said before the fabric is original 1980′s My Little Pony Duvet cover fabric but to make it durable I cut in a top layer of plastic. It’s lined with the same fabric (well it will be) and has two pockets on each inside wall. There is also a sturdy buckram base.
ON TO MORE PICCIES!
